I am a responsible and caring person that loves kids. Originally I am from South Africa, but I also have a British passport. I enjoy bringing the best out of each child and helping them succeed at what they are interested in. I have an easy going but firm approach to child care and believe that every child deserves to be treated with respect and compassion. My hobbies and interests include; running, hiking, yoga, art, and reading. Furthermore, I love spending time with animals and would be interested in looking after pets if need be.
My Experience
For 2021, I had experience working with a wide range of kids and fulfilling a variety of roles for each family. I au paired in Wroughton for 6 months for a family with three kids aged 2 months, 2 years and 4 years old. I mainly cared for the two older boys, but occasionally looked after the baby girl. My responsibilities included; getting the kids ready for school, making breakfast and packed lunches, driving them to and from preschool, cleaning their rooms, playing with them after school, helping with bath time and putting them to bed. For the remainder of the year, I worked part time for a family in Cape Time helping tutor a 9 year old girl and her 12 year old brother. My responsibilities included: picking them up from school, helping with homework, packing bags and preparing for the next day of school, entertaining them after homework was completed (playing soccer, swimming, doing yoga, arts and crafts). These two jobs were very different but both very rewarding in their own way. I formed strong bonds with all the kids I worked with and still remain in contact with them to this day.
My Qualifications
I graduated from high school with 6 As and have since received a bachelor of Commerce degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Cape Town.
My Availability
I am staying in Putney at the moment, so ideally I would like a job near to this area. I have recently moved here and therefore have just started working as a waitress part time and my schedule still needs to be confirmed.
