My role as a contact tracer was to provide guidance and support to complex settings, e.g. schools or high-risk workplaces, care sector services and residential settings, plus the more vulnerable populations in the county. My job was involved in activities such as contact tracing, tracing complex positive cases and their contacts and providing advice on self-isolation practice.
• Working as part of a team to provide incident and outbreak management support to education, health / social care and voluntary / community and faith sector settings according to-national and local guidance and protocols.
• Liaise with a range of partner agencies to ensure provision of effective, efficient and timely response and support to incidents and outbreaks.
• Undertake interviews with COVID-19 positive cases, providing an initial public health risk assessment of cases identified for contact tracing using standard call scripts and operating procedures.
