About Me

I am an extremely warm, caring and nurturing KS1 teacher who is now looking to return my career back to being a professional, full-time nanny. I have 21 years’ experience of teaching at primary school and three years’ (+ five on weekends) previous experience as a nanny for new-borns, toddlers, pre-school and young children. I offer a strong level of expertise in early childhood development which I use to promote and develop children’s physical, mental, social and emotional needs and well-being.

I understand the importance of child development from the earliest stages, such as promoting sleep and feeding routines and the specialist care required for premature, underweight or unwell babies. I am highly experienced in developing children from early childhood through well-planned, engaging and fun learning activities. I am known for creating a safe, engaging and enriching environment that stimulates curiosity and a growth-mindset for children to thrive within. I am very-well positioned for, and experienced in, preparing individual and groups of children for school and music exams.

I am a detail-orientated self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and time-management capabilities. My extensive qualifications cover Maternity Nursing, Teaching and Child Psychology, Music and Paediatric First Aid. Alongside caring, educational and developmental responsibilities I am happy to transport children for playdates, clubs and activities, prepare healthy meals for the children in my care and undertake light housekeeping duties.

I thoroughly enjoy using the skills I have gained through my teaching profession and always continue to find new ways to learn through play and I now aim to spend the next few years doing the same as a nanny/carer.
