About Me
I am a 25 year old Early Years Educator from Leeds. I am a patient, honest, enthusiastic and professional person, up for a laugh and happy to play and use my imagination, and can create a warm, safe and loving environment. I don't drive unfortunately but am very happy to travel on buses as I commute to work on them anyway. I'm hoping to start babysitting here and there for a little bit of extra income, but also because children are awesome and I love getting to know them and their families! I come from a "childcare family", my mum was a Nursery Manager and was a registered childminder for a decade so as you can imagine I have always been around children.
My Experience
I've been working in childcare for 7 years, in private day nursery settings with children aged 3 months to 5 years. I'm an auntie and am obsessed with my nieces and nephews, and have always looked after them too right from newborn age. I have a full, enhanced DBS check with paediatric first aid
training and am knowledable on dietary requirements and some SEN. I also have trained in makaton over the years but I am a little rusty!
I also complete an annual Safeguarding Level 2 course and have a Level 2 in Children's Mental Health.
