About Me
My name is Penny. I am a qualified teacher in the UK and I have taught and tutored in different educational settings since I achieved my BA in Education in 2017. Currently, I am working for a primary school in South London as a Reception class teacher. Having learned five languages myself (English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, German, and Korean), I deeply understand the process and obstacles of learning and how to embed new knowledge into muscle memory. I also know how to help children motivate themselves to become self-driven learners by creating moments where they find their passion, link it to learning, and enjoy the sense of achievement when they learn something new.
I have taught pupils across EYFS to Key Stages 1 and 2 in both private and state schools in Southwest and South London. I have experience tutoring children with different attainment levels and needs, including EAL, ASD, and SEND.
My Experience
I completed my teacher training this summer and start taking the role of a Reception Class Teacher this September. Prior to that I was a primary bilingual teacher in one of the biggest British schools in China. I have been teaching EAL students since 2017.
