About Me
Hi, I'm Leonie, I provide a small, intimate setting for a maximum of three children per day, to ensure each child receives the best tailored care and attention. I do not offer school pick ups/drop offs and my setting is tailored towards children who are not yet school age. My own daughter who is 16 months old is included in my numbers, meaning most days I have two available spaces. My program is rich in outdoor time, excursions, and activities, designed to promote learning and development in a fun and engaging way. With my extensive background in education and child development, I use my experience to provide a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Hours are 8 - 6, possibly with a very slight flexibility, and home-cooked meals are provided for a small daily charge. We also have a small, friendly Shih-Tzu.
My Experience
I have 17 years of experience working with children. I started working as a full-time Nanny, then trained as a Primary School Teacher, completing a PGCE course at the University of East London, before spending the last 7 years working as a Governess both overseas and in the UK. I am trained in Lego-Therapy, a form of play therapy aimed towards helping children with SEN communicate effectively and I hold a TEFL qualification.
My specialist areas are preparing children with English as an additional language for the UK education system, working with Gifted and Talented children and using Music to encourage development.
My Qualifications
I hold a PGCE from the University of East London
I hold a TEFL qualification
I am a trained and experienced Lego-Therapist.
I have an OFSTED approved Paediatric first aid certificate.
My Availability
I have availability from September 2025 on Mondays and Fridays but would consider one other day as week if needed.

I've had a great experience with Leonie. The small and quiet setting makes it ideal for focused care, in a calm environment. Leonie perfectly strikes the balance of structured activities and free play. Our child is very happy here. I would highly recommend.

We are absolutely delighted with the care and attention our child has received from Leonie. From the very first meeting, it was clear how dedicated and passionate she is about providing a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Leonie operates with genuine warmth and kindness, making our child feel completely at ease, and she has blossomed under her care.
The home environment is absolutely lovely and perfectly set up. The activities Leonie conducts are both engaging and age appropriate. It’s evident that a lot of planning and effort goes into ensuring a well-rounded experience. Thank you Leonie!!!
