My Summary
Energetic Ofsted Registered Nanny/Housekeeper With 35 Years Of Experience
About Me
Ofsted registered
Please note:
I am actively looking for nanny/housekeeping work on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, a year round commitment from 9:30am - 3:30pm. A job local to Bordon, Farnham or Alton would be ideal.
Please contact me if you are interested.
Experienced. Calm. Fun.
Good with all age groups, new borns to teenagers, I’m a fun loving energetic grandma & mother, motivated, optimistic, always happy.
Kind hearted and gentle. I adore children and they connect with me easily.
I’m a decent cook and very happy to prepare food for the kids, and cook generally for the family.
I’m very clean and organized, so any housekeeping tasks are welcomed. I can clean out cupboards, reorganizing things as needed, ironing, dusting, hoovering…whatever needs to be done. Obviously, if I am also nannying, the children’s needs would always take precedence, but I am happy to help your family with whatever tasks are required.
•enhanced DBS check
•paediatric first aid •emergency first aid
•core skills level 2
•Ofsted registered
I drive a Mini Countryman, and can use your childseats no problem. I have a completely clean driving licence, and have never had any accident ever.
I live in Bordon, and I work 7-9am in Farnham with a very special SEN boy, getting him ready and off to school, and then I work in Bentworth near Alton from 4pm onwards with another very special SEN boy.
So, I am specifically looking to fill the hours inbetween 9am and 4pm.
Please contact me if you’d like my help with your family.
Review Feb-June 2024: “Emily currently looks after our children before and after school. She has slotted into their routines seamlessly, any last minute changes she takes in her stride and nothing is too much bother.
She has an incredibly patient manner with the children which is no mean feat given their ages - but she approaches it with care, patience and fairness and a good dollop of understanding of what children are like - there is nothing a fresh pancake can’t sort out!” Mum in Farnham
Review: “Emily looked after my twins (4) for several hours over the course of a weekend - they loved spending time with her engaging in role play/outdoor games (weirdly, focusing a lot on slugs ?).
They enjoyed spending time with her and are keen to invite her back!” Dad in Winchester
Review for caring for a post operative lady, housekeeping and chauffeuring to appointments:
January 2025
“Emily came to help me for three months following my foot surgery. She helped in the house wherever required and chauffeured me to various appointments when I was unable to drive. She was a pleasure to have around, extremely capable and always very cheerful and calm which was exactly what I needed. I really cant recommend her highly enough…she’s brilliant
My Experience
I raised 3 single handed, all now grown and working. One is a fully qualified gas engineer, and the younger two are both university graduates.
I have two grandchildren who I see every weekend.
We are a very close knit family, supportive of each other, loving, fun, honest and resilient.
I have worked as a nanny with multiple families, SEN children, babies and in a nursery setting.
Babies to teenagers..some parents have called me “the child whisperer”…praise indeed!
Currently I work all year round from 7-9am with an SEN teenager aged 14, who uses a wheelchair, is non verbal, experiences frequent seizures, has spinabifida, uses nappies, and has severe developmental delay. He is an absolute joy. I get him up, dressed, into his wheelchair, breakfasted and out to school.
I then work from 4pm for a family who have an autistic son, aged six. He also has ADHD. Non verbal, uses nappies, really struggles to self regulate his moods and feelings. I give him his supper, hang out with him whilst his parents work, take him for walks, jump on the trampoline, play with him, read to him, give him massage pressure (we call it “squashing”….it helps him calm before bath time..then I help the parents with bath time and bed, and tidy up all his toys and clean the floor, wash everything up and leave it all tidy and sorted.
Both of these children are an absolute joy to be with. I feel very lucky but it takes a lot of skill and sensitivity, resilience and patience, and I am so honoured to be employed by their wonderful parents.
I am specifically looking long term for work Monday - Friday, in between 9am-4pm. This time slot is ideal for working with babies who are not yet in nursery. I have many families who employ me ad hoc during these hours to support them with their little ones, as they transition into the work place, or simply want some time to get stuff done. I am extremely experienced with babies, and find them fascinating. During the baby’s naps, I am also very happy to help with light housekeeping tasks such as ironing etc.
No matter what age your child is, please let me know if you’d like some help during these hours.

I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have Emily as an advocate for our special needs daughter. From the moment she stepped into our lives, it was clear that she is truly exceptional. Emily's love and care shine through in everything she does.
She has an incredible ability to connect with our daughter, understanding her needs and preferences like no one else. Emily looked after our little boy (9-12 months) until he started his nursery and was so patient and kind. He bonded with her really quickly which made my return to work much less stressful and a lot easier knowing he is having fun every day. She adhered to our routine and kindly kept us up to date with photos, videos and nap times throughout the day which was very helpful. Also, if there was any time left, she helped us with chores giving us more time we could spend with our little one.
Thank you so much for everything, Emily! We miss you already!

We could not be more grateful to have Emily as a babysitter for my 6-month-old. She bonded with the little one instantly and is incredibly warm and attentive to his needs.
I have no issues with her bottle-feeding the baby, changing him, and ensuring he is appropriately dressed for the weather. I have seen her create a fun, nurturing environment when he is awake, and she has taken him for lovely long walks. She is also very attentive to his cues, especially when he shows signs of tiredness, and acts accordingly, creating a restful, soothing environment for him.
Emily is always punctual and communicative, ensuring she has all the information about how the little one has been feeding, sleeping etc. before she starts her shift and providing regular updates on how he is doing during the day.
Emily is not only reliable but also truly understands the needs of babies. She is trustworthy and we highly recommend her to any family looking for a caring, competent, and experienced babysitter for their little ones.

Emily has been nannying for us for a few months now and she has been a total life saver. She’s been in charge of my 1 year old and 3 year old and she has such a natural way with little ones and is totally dedicated to the job. She has boundless energy and enthusiasm, happy to be outside whatever the weather and my babes absolutely adore her. She helps around the house whenever she has the time and has also been known to prune the roses too! Emily is super organized and so reliable - she will be such an asset to any family.

Thank you so much Phoebe, I’m so privileged to have worked with your beautiful family, and delighted to hear that you have been so happy with my service too!
Emily is a brilliant all-rounder and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
I live in Churt and have two young children (2 yo) and (6 yo). Emily has been incredible and is everything a family could ask for - fully engaged with the kids; a lovely, calm, structured approach - as well as very fun; happy to get stuck in with multi-tasking meals and house jobs at the same time; punctual and - and just all-in-all a great person to have in the family home.
She has a magic way with the children; is very warm and kind.
She is super reliable, experienced and a very safe pair of hands.
The kitchen is always spotless even after kid meals.
An excellent childcare professional who I recommend very highly.
