About Me
My name's Lisa and I'm a primary school teacher, primarily focusing on Early Years and KS1, although I do have lower KS2 experience. I have a real passion for working with children on the autism spectrum who may also struggle with anxiety and other associated conditions. I'm also a proud mum of two neuro-diverse children. I have a warm, approachable and empathetic manner as I know first hand the difficulties and challenges that we can face as parents of neuro-diverse children in main-stream education. My Experience
I'm currently working as a Reception Class teacher and am responsible for Early Years in a large outstanding London Primary School. I have a warm and nurturing teaching style and know that different children have different learning styles - I will always try my hardest to make learning fun, exciting and engaging, personalised to your child's needs and next steps for learning - including targets on their ISP/IEP. I have a lot of experience (personal and professional) of supporting children with SEND, in particular children who are anxious and on the autism spectrum. I am passionate about early education and have a particular interest in teaching of early maths and literacy - phonics, reading and writing.
My Qualifications
BA QTS Hons - with a specialism in 3-8 Year Olds and English
My Availability
I am available Tuesdays and Thursdays after school and all day Saturday during term time. I am available flexibly over the summer holiday.
