About Me
My setting is warm and welcoming. My aim is to provide a positive learning environment with high quality care. I am a firm believer in the importance of learning through play and to engage with parents to enhance their children's development. I am located near 2 fabulous parks for outdoor adventures and 2 local libraries where events are frequently organised for Early Years children. There are lots of amenities close by for trips and outings. I also have a large garden for outdoor and messy play where children can exercise, learn and discover themselves as individuals. My resources are rich, varied and adaptable for the appropriate age. It is crucial to support children when settling in, therefore, I aim to work with parents to make this as smooth as possible.
My Experience
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder in the Catford area. I am fully up-to-date with the Early Years child development framework. Having a small group of children enables me to take more of an individual approach to meet each child's needs. Being a mother of 3 adult children and 2 lovely young grandsons, I have many years of hands on experience managing the challenges of early years and have experience of caring for babies in my home. I volunteered at Forest Hill Library for 2 years where they facilitate Mother & Toddler Groups and also Rhyme Times Sessions. I had the pleasure of interacting and assisting children of all ages who visited the library. I enjoy working with children to give them the support on their educational journey.
My Qualifications
As a Registered Childminder, I have all the relevant qualifications to provide home-based childcare. I completed my training with a highly rated, well established Childminding Agency. My training included:

I hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate, have been Enhanced DBS checked and I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office and the Food Standards Agency. Previous to becoming a Registered Childminder, I worked in the city as a Legal Secretary for 34 years. After leaving the city, I volunteered at Forest Hill Library, and found it quite rewarding assisting children of all ages with their literacy and seeing how keen they were to learn. I am now in a position to give direct support to children in my care, the learning and development instilled by the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.

My service offers childcare from Mondays to Fridays, starting at 08:00 a.m. until 18:00pm.

My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
My fee is £80 for a full day, which includes daily healthy cooked meals, fresh fruits and snacks and for After School Pickups, my fee is £13.00 per hour.

It was our first experience with a childminder and we were very impressed. Our daughter started with Olivet at 9 months old and settled in very easily. From the beginning she was happy when we were dropping her of and picking her up. It's such a peace of mind knowing that she is with someone she likes and who we can trust. Olivet takes her to baby groups, to the parks and to the local library. She is responding to her developmental needs with new activities. Oh, and our daughter loves the meals that Olivet prepares. It's also important for us that Olivet communicates with us on regular basis and she puts lots of updates in the journal.

My two year old has really enjoyed spending time with Olivet who has been a very reliable and friendly presence in our lives! Olivet has helped with drop-offs, pick-ups and some much-needed playground time. My little one often asks for her on the days we cannot see her so I know she's enjoying herself! and Olivet is always punctual, warm and friendly. Thank you Olivet!
