My Experience

I have experience of looking after my young cousins, and regularly baby sat for family friends, of children aged 3-12. I have volunteered in Cambodia multiple times in schools, working with children/students aged 3-18. Before I started training as a teacher, I was a TA in a Secondary school and worked with vulnerable students with SEN needs, which has helped me massively in my training year as I am able to build relationships with students who need more support than others. I am also a trained ELSA (emotional literacy support assistant), which means I work 1:1 with young people to help them learn how to understand and manage their emotions when they are feeling overwhelmed. I have basic first aid training, including how to use a defibrillator.

My Availability

I work at school from 8am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. On some Wednesdays and Thursdays I finish later because we sometimes have training after school. Every other Tuesday I have training until 4:30. I am free nearly every weekend, but I do go away occasionally. I have no plans to go away for February half term or Easter, so would be available.
