Key Responsibilities:
- Help create and support the Nursery processes and rules, ensuring you and your team uphold the long standing Weydown reputation.
- Promote and maintain a fun and supportive working culture within your team - team happiness is a must!
- Lead and manage the Nursery and business in collaboration with the owners
- Manage and oversee day to day operations and administrative tasks to manage the nursery including procurement, rota, and banking.
- Ensure the EYFS curriculum supports a range of learning styles and develops each child’s independence.
- Plan and lead meetings with Nursery staff
- Prepare for Ofsted inspections and work towards the Nursery’s inspection goals.
- Ensure Educators keep a record of every child’s progression and make this accessible for parents.
- Attend meetings of the Trustees when requested.
- Liaise with other colleagues to aid the smooth transition of all children from early years to reception.
- Promote the health and well-being of all children in the nursery.
- Manage and plan the day-to-day running of activities, including efficient use of resources.
- Keep up-to-date with the requirements of the EYFS framework

Personality:
- Be a role model in leading the team with empathy, honesty, but also holding all accountable to keeping to high standards (while having fun!)
- Calm, an excellent communicator (to team, children and parents), and has a problem solving mindset
- Proactive and comes to work with purpose and shaping Weydown for the future
- Can take on instruction from owners and follow-through on commitments

Qualifications:
- Level 3 minimum in childcare
- Been actively working in a nursery for the last 2 years
- Desired: SENCo (Special Needs Coordinator) qualified - is currently or working towards SEND specialism
