About Me
I am 24-years-old and grew up in the Southside of Glasgow, now living in the West End. I am a bubbly and warm individual who thoroughly enjoys working with and caring for children. I recently graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a degree in Psychology, I am hoping to continue in this field and complete a masters one Educational Psychology to work with children. I am interested in good music, keeping fit and watching sports.
My Experience
I have varied experience in childcare.
In 2019, I completed a summer season at 'Camp Morty' - a summer camp in New York for children who receive social support - working as a lifeguard and providing 24/7 care for the children staying at our camp for a week at a time.
In 2020, I volunteered at after school care for children from Giffnock Primary School as part of a university placement, this involved collecting the children from school, caring for and entertaining them in the subsequent hours prior to carers collecting them.
In 2023, I volunteered at Home Start Glasgow South, again, as part of a university placement, where I would help with multiple different parents/toddler groups which involved catering for parents and entertaining the children with different toys or activities.
My Qualifications
I achieved straight A's whilst studying in high school in 8 National 5 subjects, 6 Higher subjects and 1 Advanced Higher subject, graduating in June 2018.
I achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with First Class Honours from the University of Strathclyde, graduating in June 2023.
My Availability
I currently have a lot of availability as I am looking for another job as a waitress - this could change with the addition of other shifts in time.
