Katie has been babysitting for my girls (10 and 7) for over a year now on a regular basis. We couldn’t be happier!
She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and energetic - and most importantly my children adore her. My husband and I are able to go our regularly knowing that our kids are happy and well cared for and are in the safest of hands.
We adore her!
Katie is a fantastic nanny and I wholeheartedly recommend her. She cared for my two boys (1 and 3 years old) over the summer and did a wonderful job - they formed a great bond and quickly settled into a happy rhythm together. Katie’s stand out qualities are her can-do attitude, energy and enthusiasm with the children, ability to seamlessly slot into our household and impeccable reliability. She has a fairy godmother like ability to reassure and get things done. We often came home to piles of beautifully folded laundry and delicious home-cooked suppers! Katie is a career nanny, very experienced and I quickly felt comfortable with her around. She was really engaged with the children, from creative play at home to taking them on National Trust days out with picnics. Katie was everything I hoped I would find in a nanny and her next family would be lucky to have her.
Katie came into our lives following lockdown one. She has taken on a complicated role with ease and, in the short time she has been supporting the children, has created a lasting bond with our two children, especially my eldest child. The initial lockdown was incredibly difficult for our youngest child who is autistic and so the right person was essential. Katie has been the mother figure that we really needed. She updates me regularly; I can not fault the care that she has provided for our little ones or the relationship she has built with us. An absolute treasure!
We can wholeheartedly recommend Katie. We feel very lucky to have had her in our employment. She is an extremely experienced and skilful nanny with a big heart, a generosity of spirit and a huge amount of energy.
We have employed Katie as a sole-charge nanny since January 2019, when our children were aged eight months and two and a half. Aside from caring for the children, playing with them, taking them on outings, reading with them, doing craft activities, gardening, cooking and other age-appropriate learning activities, Katie has prepared food for them (she’s an excellent cook), done their laundry and cleaned and tidied after them (and often after us, which was well beyond the call of duty.)
Katie’s energy, cheery disposition and positivity make her a joy to have around. She has a natural affinity with children and is able to create an atmosphere full of fun, freedom, kindness and affection while also maintaining boundaries and routine. The variety of activities Katie has engaged the children in during her time with us and the number of outings they have been on are testament to her creativity and vivacity. The children have developed wonderfully under her care and there really is never a dull moment. Having been a professional nanny in this area for many years, Katie has an excellent knowledge of the best playgroups, activities and things to do.
We have always been impressed by Katie’s level of professionalism. She takes her role as a care-giver very seriously, ensuring the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times and making sure her qualifications, Ofsted registration and record-keeping are always up to date. She is reliable and punctual while also very flexible and generous with her time, being happy to work around our work schedules and facilitate ‘date-nights’ wherever she can (which is almost always.) She has not taken a single sick-day in the year and a half we have employed her.
Katie is a wonderful person and an excellent nanny and we cannot recommend her highly enough. I have no doubt that we will stay in touch with her and remain friends. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for any further information should you wish to.
Katie came into our family at a difficult time and has been a rock for my boys while we sort our selves out.
Katie has been loving and fun, while instilling routine and organisation into this household.
We have loved having Katie with us and are so sad to see her move-on to a full time position. Her next family are very very lucky!
