About Me
Hi, I'm Leia. I am a 20 year old student in my third year of training to be a primary school teacher. I adore working with children and would love to get more experience over the school holidays. I have experience working with children from ages 6 months to 12 years in my home life, volunteering, holiday clubs, tutoring and through my work as a student teacher. I have worked closely with children with special needs, specifically autism. I am kind, patient, caring, responsible, calm, reliable and adaptable. I am very passionate about learning and creativity and would be happy to help by tutoring, helping with homework or babysitting. I am quite confident in a range of core and foundation subjects, which is clear as I received six grade 9s and three grade 7s at GCSE and three Bs at A Level. As well as being academic, I enjoy arts and crafts and love to play games.
My Experience
I volunteered for three years at a summer camp called Lighthouse, working with children from 3-9 but predominantly working with children aged 3-4. I also worked at a holiday club last summer with children from a range of ages and backgrounds. I have babysat and tutored family members. I have 8 weeks of experience teaching a year 1 and 2 (ages 5-7) class and 9 weeks of experience teaching a year 4 (age 8-9) class, which was the most rewarding experience.
