About Me
Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m an Ofsted registered childminder based in the Hadleigh/ Daws Heath area. I live with my husband, two children (14 & 12), and our cat Casper. My setting is called Puddlesuits and the focus is on “exploring nature & the outdoors”. My location is close to woodland, parks and open spaces and has the benefit of a secure natural garden with both grass & hardstanding areas. I provide a caring, home from home, smoke free environment for children from birth - 8 years. I offer year round, term time only, and before & afterschool care.
My Experience
Having worked as a teaching assistant working with reception age children early on in my career, I then moved on to a role in tourism. Then like many others during the covid pandemic, I decided that a change of direction was needed and decided to return to working with children as it was something I really enjoyed. I have been working for a local nursery & pre-school as a nursery assistant ever since, looking after children from birth to 5 years. I have experience working with SEN and of Montessori methodology. I qualified as a childminder in Dec 2023 and have now started my own setting Puddlesuits Childcare.
My Qualifications
I have a level 3 in Home based childcare, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Basic food hygiene, Health & Safety, Fire safety, Hand Hygiene, Prevent & FGM.
