About Me
Firstly........ I am a Mum and a Nanna.
I understand what it is like to leave a child with someone who at first, is a stranger.
My aim is to make families feel "at home" in my setting.
My setting is in Hellesdon. Close to lots of amenities.
I have developed my setting over 20 years to accommodate the needs of the children in my care. My aim is to provide an environment for children to flourish, learn and develop while playing and having fun.
I am enthusiastic about life with family being at its core.
I enjoy Scouting and enjoy volunteering at my local Group, working alongside other adults who support young people from 6-14 years old.
I am a non smoker.
My Experience
Over 20 years plus, my experiences have ranged far and wide.
I have cared for around 100 little people over my time and am still in contact with lots of their families.
I have supported children with education needs, physical disabilities, medical requirements and of course, learning and personal development.
I have taken on manditory and additional training when necessary to support all those needs.
My setting is equipped with a variety of resources to support development alongside just "having fun"!
For any child to flourish, I feel they need to feel confident with their surroundings, my aim is to make it so. I encourage parents/carers of those children to also feel comfortable with the setting and myself, by all being one big family.
My Qualifications
First aid - full including paediatric care
Safeguarding - lead practitioner
NVQ 3 - Learning and development
Level 2 - Health and hygiene
Other courses have been taken and updated as required
My Availability
The Caterpillar Club setting is open from 7.30am to 5.30pm each weekday.
Evening, weekend and overnight care is negotiable.
