My Summary

My Experience

I am a passionate, motivational, and qualified Mathematics teacher and tutor. I have taught 1:1 as well as small groups. I build on the learner's prior knowledge and use small chunks of information to build on the lesson. I use the "I do, we do, you do approach" to help learners understand the lesson content. I make use of plenary tasks, typically exam-type questions, towards the end of the lesson as an assessment for learning, a way to show how the lesson content fits in the exam.

I am a learner-centered teacher working at an outstanding high school teaching KS3 and KS4 Mathematics. I prepare learners for the Edexcel Maths examinations. I know a few international maths curricula as well. I have worked as an Examiner, a marker, a moderator, and a quality assurer. I use the knowledge that I have gained from my previous roles to guide learners in achieving excellence in their examinations. After attaining my BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics I grew a passion for Mathematics which led me to attain a Postgraduate Diploma in Mathematics Education, an Advanced Diploma in Mathematics, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Mathematics Education.

I have more than 10 years of experience in teaching Mathematics and also working as a tutor. I believe that every learner can succeed in Mathematics. I am eager to pass on the knowledge to succeed and pass on what I have gained over the years.
