Hi! my name is Amelia
I currently work schools hours starting 11:45-4:30 Monday to Friday to teach PE! One of my favourite subjects :)
I work at multiple primary schools in the Eastbourne area & I have previously worked in a SEN school based in hailsham which is where I gained my SEN diploma I love my career working and teaching children it’s in my opinion one of the best career choices.
I am currently looking for a job role to work along side my teaching role and after a long hard think I would like my second job role to still be based around what I love doing taking care and supporting young people and children.
My Experience
I have worked a few jobs that include retail I once even worked at starbucks and it was actually a lot of fun and I enjoyed those jobs a lot but then I knew it was time to kickstart my childcare career in doing so I started as an apprentice at a local nursery that was really good but unfortunately the apprenticeship wage wasn’t the easiest to have so I moved on to working for an agency this agency allowed me to work in schools in the area being a TA and then eventually working in a SEN school in the year 3 class now I must say it was different to the kind of role I was used to but I just fell in love with this specific kind of care giving role and I ended up doing my teaching assistant level 2 and my SEN diploma while I worked at this school I may have moved on but I know in the future I will be looking for a job based in SEN.
I now work for a company that travel around schools and teach PE and I enjoy it so much I also do half term camps\holiday camp.
