Hello Families.
My name is Sanchia , I am 30 years old.
I am from Essex in the UK but have lived in Australia with my Fiancè for the past 8 years.
We moved back to the UK at the end of May 2024 to be closer to family and to start growing our roots.
I have a small crochet business on the side where I design clothing and sell patterns for other crocheters
I love all things colourful, crafty and I love to cook/bake.
I am young at heart and I love to do activities that remind me of my childhood.
I have always loved working with children I just love how they look at our world with no fear or filter.
My Experience
I have over 8 years experience working within childcare centres and private nannying.
I prefer to private nanny as I can give my full love and attention to one family at a time, whereas in day care setting its a lot harder to build strong connections with all children and families.
I can provide glowing references from all of my previous families and I'm lucky to have all of them still in my life.
I have experience with working with new-borns right through to teenagers, as well as experience working with Down syndrome and Autism.
I am great at helping with sleep routines, cooking/making purees for weaning.

My Qualifications
I have a diploma in Early childhood and education which I studied in Australia I believe it is the equivalent to a level 3.
I also have First aid training babies to adults.
I have an Advanced DBS check
I am Ofsted Registered
My Availability
My availability is very flexible.
I have a tight availability currently as I am pretty booked up with families however
I an available on weekends, notice is highly appreciated
I would prefer a minimum of 4 hours per shift..

Chia looks after our 5 year old daughter who doesn’t go to school full time yet and we think she’s amazing. She always has loads of fun planned for Millie, baking, crafts, trips out and agreeing to the hours of playing babies that she demands. The relationship they have built is really special. For us, she’s really organised, quick at comms and flexible. Millie has Down Syndrome and Chia is always keen to learn more about her needs and work to meet them. Most importantly she approaches Millie in the same way as any other child. Their moto is ‘Millie can do anything!’ We don’t know what we would do without her.

Chia is enthusiastic and helpful. Our 3 year old son has really enjoyed baking and crafts with her and raves about her bedtime nose tickles! She is organised and honest and a very good communicator. Highly recommend :))

Sanchia helped us out by looking after our almost two year old girl for three days while we tried to juggle a huge relocation, the beginnings of a house renovation whilst we were still trying to hold down our jobs!
Sanchia came in swept Summer off her feet from the first morning she came, then took her out to do fun stuff, like go to the park and library, have a cafe date etc. During her nap Sanchia helped us out by sorting/folding washing and cooked a delish healthy meal. If we could have Sanchia all the time we would 100%! Highly recommend.
