Key duties are:
Conduct initial assessments to identify each student's unique learning needs and challenges.
Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate students' EHCPs targets.
Create differentiated materials and resources to support diverse learning styles.
Work closely with students to develop self-regulation and coping skills.
Teach and enhance communication skills for non-verbal or minimally verbal students.
Foster the development of social skills and emotional intelligence in students.
Develop sensory-friendly environments and activities to accommodate sensory sensitivities.

Support them to recognise their ADHD or autism strengths
Build positive relationships with them
Identify their needs and strengths and, using the knowledge, come up with different techniques and plans.
Come up with techniques, tips and tricks to manage stress and anxiety
Develop their time management, managing workload, and planning skills
Signpost students to the right professionals if they need it
Develop study skills such as planning and breaking a long assignment into smaller bits and other techniques.
Developing memory skills
Encourage students to use relaxation techniques such as mindfulness, meditation, and hobbies.
Record the strategies and plans on the system

Key achievements- Support students to identify their strengths and encourage them to use different techniques for different situations and environment such as using mindfulness or using noise cancelling headphones on a busy train with a small sensory toy.
