My Summary
About Me
Hello! My name is Luisiana, but most people call me Luisa or Lu for short. I was born in 2003, which makes me 21 years old. My family is small but full of love – just my parents, my younger brother, and me.
I was born in a charming little town in Romania, near the border of Serbia and by the Danube River. It was a beautiful place to grow up. When I turned 10, my parents made the decision to move to England, believing that I would have access to better opportunities and education. It was a big change, but one that I’m forever grateful for.
After finishing high school and earning my GCSEs, I followed my passion for creativity and decided to attend art school. I completed a degree in the arts and spent the next year exploring South Africa, where I pursued pottery as a hobby and explored culinary arts as a potential career. It was such an eye-opening and fulfilling experience.
Currently, I work part-time as a barista at a local café on weekends, and in my free time, I love going to the cinema, having coffee dates with friends, and exploring new exhibitions at galleries and museums. I also enjoy experimenting with fashion, creating my own clothes when I have a moment, and cooking delicious meals for my family – trying new recipes and sharing them is always a joy.
From a young age, I discovered my love for caring for children. When my brother was born, I naturally stepped into the role of helping care for him, especially after school when my parents were working. He faced some health challenges, including severe asthma and a sensitive immune system, which meant he was often unwell. I took care of him in so many ways: administering his medications, making him his favorite foods when he wasn’t feeling well, helping with homework, taking him to the park, giving him baths, and even picking him up from school. It was a demanding but deeply rewarding experience that shaped my sense of responsibility and compassion.
My Experience
I began working as a nanny for a single mother in central London. She had three wonderful children (a 6-month-old boy, a 5-year-old girl, and a 9-year-old boy), and I was with them for three years. I helped with daily routines like taking the children to school, preparing meals (from pasta to roasts and homemade jam), assisting with homework, taking them to after-school clubs, and even bringing them on little adventures like park visits or trips for hot chocolate. There were also many days where I was the one to give them their baths and tuck them in at night. I left the position to travel and pursue personal goals, but my time with the family taught me so much about patience, care, and the joy of watching children grow.
Through all of this, I’ve learned that helping others, especially children, is something that fills my heart. It’s a calling that I continue to cherish, and I look forward to whatever life brings next in this beautiful journey.
