About Me
Hello! My name is Viv, I am 31 years old and a mum to a sweet 2 year old. My background is both in education including early years settings and within children's safeguarding social work. I have over 10 years combined experience working in nurseries, schools and children’s social work. I have experience supporting SEN and EAL children and have worked under inclusion departments. I've always enjoyed working with children and supporting their growth and development. I understand all children are unique and I feel incredibly rewarded seeing them make leaps in their learning and development. I love to see children grow in confidence when they have mastered new skills! I also feel that having stimulating, rich environments they can explore and interact with allows them to build a strong foundation and love for learning later in life.
After having my daughter and returning to work last year, I felt it was time for a change that would provide a better work life balance. I knew I still wanted to work supporting children and as such, my journey to becoming a childminder began!
My Experience
My experience working within early years and primary education goes back to 2013. I have worked in various nursery and primary school settings supporting children's learning and developmental needs. I have also previously volunteered within Sure Start centres and have worked in SEN / inclusion settings.
I studied Psychology at degree level with a focus on child development in my final year (2016).
I also hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work and have worked in Children's Safeguarding teams.
As a parent, I now know first hand how important it is to feel able to entrust someone to care for your child. My experience highlights my background however what I feel is most important is ultimately that you and your child feel comfortable in my setting as a "home from home". It should feel like somewhere your child can feel safe, happy, enjoy coming to each day and, have lots of opportunity to explore, learn, grow and develop!

We are open to provide childcare Monday to Thursday from 7.30am to 6.00pm.
Wraparound care (breakfast club, drop off and after school pick ups) is also available from local Gillingham schools.

Funded childcare places are now available at Twinkly Toes Home Nursery, for both 15 and 30 hour entitlements.
