My Summary
About Me
I consider myself a hardworking individual that gains skills from new experiences and is motivated by challenges to seek out new opportunities to progress in my career. I am a bright friendly young woman that gets on well with others because of my open and bubbly personality which builds good relations.
My Experience
My professional experience as an early years practitioner includes providing a safe and nurturing environment for babies, toddlers and pre schoolers while giving parents peace of mind that their child is being cared for in the best possible setting. During my time as an early years practitioner I have obtained safeguarding , paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safety training. I have also been commended by parents, colleagues, and OFSTED for planning and implementing several age- appropriate activities centred around the early years foundation stage(EYFS) framework in order to promote children’s physical, social and emotional development. My experience and skills have lead parents approaching me to babysit some of the kids from the nursery during the evenings and weekends, which I have enjoyed. My day-to day roles and responsibilities included:
• Observing and assessing children’s progress to share with parents and other carers
• Building and maintaining relationships with parents/ careers and colleagues to facilitate the daily learning and care of the children through effective communication
• Providing support to other nursery staff members
• Stimulating an environment that meets the needs of the children by considering their cultural and medical needs
• Advising the Nursery Manager about concerns relating to a child while respecting confidentiality requirements
• Adhering to the nursery’s policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements relating to child care
• Maintaining high standards for safety, cleanliness and hygiene
As a dedicated Teaching Assistant with an agency for the past year, I have gained extensive experience in various educational settings throughout London. My role has involved collaborating closely with classroom teachers to design and implement innovative lesson plans that engage students and enhance their learning experience. A particularly rewarding aspect of my position has been working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where I have developed tailored strategies to meet their individual learning needs. I have strived to create an inclusive environment that empowers these students to thrive academically and socially. Establishing strong, supportive relationships with both students and staff has been fundamental to my practice, contributing to a positive and nurturing educational atmosphere where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Utilising a range of resources, including visual aids and interactive activities, I have successfully fostered an inclusive environment that encourages participation and boosts confidence among all students. My commitment to building strong relationships with both students and staff has been instrumental in creating a supportive classroom atmosphere, where every child feels valued and motivated to achieve their best. Through this holistic approach, I have contributed to a positive educational experience that promotes academic and social development.
