My name is Yaye Fatou, but people mostly call me Yayou. I am 18 and a full time law student. I am from a small town in North Carolina, Greensboro and I have three siblings. As I am the oldest sister, I grew up taking care of them so you could say I have quite some experience in babysitting and a strong sense of responsibility. Although I may be the youngest, my friends often refer to me as the mom of the group because of my caring and reliable nature. I consider myself as organised but also fun and creative individual. Fun fact about me is I also speak french quite fluently as my parents are from a francophone country so they thought me and my siblings.
My Experience
Since young, I have had a passion for helping people. So, during high school events, I would volunteer at different stands which involved children games and this permitted me to devlelop communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children.
I also had the opportunity to play in different theater plays, such as 'Oliver twist' and 'Long Walk to Freedom', which allowed me to learn how to work under pressure but also acquire a creative side as I had to make my own props for the play.
