My Experience

I completed 400+ hours of work experience within my BTEC National Health and Social Care Diploma. All my hours of experience were in a health and social care setting, my placements included;
Connexions- A well-known organisation for children and adults who are experiencing difficulties within their home, work, school or social life. I was a helping hand to those who needed support, mentally or just being that listening ear.
Family placement- This involved going into a family home and supporting the mother with 3 children. I helped with the daily tasks of preparing meals, activities, days out and providing support when needed.
Mind Organisation- This was my favourite placement, I thoroughly enjoyed working with the friendly and helpful staff that worked in this organisation. My daily activities involved going out to meet young adults who required holistic support in their daily lives, providing administrative support to the office staff and organising evening social activities for individuals of the charity to attend.
