I am a mature mother of 2 who has 20 plus years of experience with children and also worked across healthcare settings for the NHS including 14 years as an Emergency Medical Technician. I am NNEB qualified, first aid trained and have a held a full clean UK driving license for over 20 years.
I love being with children and always have. I have the experience professionally as well as being a mother myself to offer a professional and safe babysitting service for your children. I would always follow a parents need for what they require and see my self as a fun, kind sitter yet able to set boundaries when needed.
My Experience
I have worked since leaving college after studying nursery nursing in 1995 in a variety of nannying and nursery roles. I then worked in Child and Family Therapy from 1997 until 2001 when I joined the Ambulance Service and as an Emergency Technician for emergency services for 14 years responding to 999 calls. I then worked for 4 years in the NHS Blood Donor Service and at this current time I work in the maternity department carrying out hearing screens on newborn babies. I am London based (South Croydon) permanently from July 2024 and as my children are older I am able to offer evening and weekend services. Due to my previous roles I have a greater understanding of the importance of confidentiality and maintaining client privacy. I am also able to remain calm under pressure and deal with different situations as they arise.
My Qualifications
I qualified as an NNEB nanny in 1995. Since then I obtained A Levels in Sociology and Psychology also. I have completed Ambulance Technician training and most recently a diploma in Health Screening. I have yearly First Aid updates at work as well of course 10+ years of experience responding as an EMT.
My Availability
I am able to be very flexible as my children are older and very busy with their own schooling/university now! I’m happy to be contacted at short notice and would currently anticipate good availability for most evenings.
