I consider myself a competent, reliable and a punctual person who is determined to learn from the vast range of care and nursing settings. I have attained many hours as a support worker, including putting in overtime and covering night shifts. I work with both the support workers and the registered nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team, to support and assist service users, while working closely with them to ensure their comfort and safety and to provide care and support in a person-centred way, and to encourage independence, equality and diversity, communicating well, building trust and relationships with them and their family and friends. I am comfortable in using a range of equipment for example, hoist, stand-aid, rotunda, sling, etc. I have experience in aiding people in and out of bed, and assisting them in all aspects of personal care, and in all aspects of daily living.
