Hello! I’m Kayleigh. 22 years old living in Lancaster, I work as a trainee autism practitioner in a special needs children’s home.
My Experience
I have 1 year and 2 months workplace experience as a carer in a special needs children’s home, over this time I have worked with many children from ages 8-19 with a wide range of disability’s, autism, verbal and non verbal children and other diagnosis such as PICA.
I have had training in first aid, health and safety, communication (makaton, PECC’s, now & next ect). I also have experience working with children with EBD and challenging behaviours.
Outside of work I have gained lots of experience looking after little ones 2-6 taking care of my little sisters, nieces and nephews.
My Qualifications
I am currently in the process of completing my level 4 young people and family’s practitioner NVQ (which includes level 3 Childcare).
My Availability
I work full time so this is an extra job for me. The odd night here or there is perfect for me, keep in mind my shifts alternate on a 2 week rota so I will have different days of availability each week.
