Hi everyone!!
My name is Shauna and I have recently been approved to become an official childminder :-). I have previously worked as a childminders assistant and also worked in private nurseries. I have worked in childcare settings since I was 18. Gaining my level 2 And level 3 in cache early years and recently graduating from Liverpool Hope University with a BA honours degree in early childhood
My Experience
Experience I bring as a childminder is that firstly I have 3 children of my own. I have worked with a childminder as an assistant gaining knowledge and experiences as well as seeing the benefits it can have on children’s care being able to offer more one to one basis as well as a home from home environment. I have worked in private nurseries, I was Lucky enough to enhance my training and experience becoming a room leader. I have knowledge of school readiness, newborns, and also of the birth to five framework to make sure your child is developing.

Cache level 2 early childhood
Cache level 3 early childhood
Paediatric first aid trained
BA honours in early childhood and special educational needs.
My Availability
Tuesday to Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.

My daughter had previously attended a nursery and as she grew older I hated the idea of her early years being confined to a typical nursery routine.
With Shauna she is able to learn while being in a home from home environment as well as outdoors. My daughter comes home excited to tell me where she has been today, such as the library, garden centres, local parks, and especially seeing reindeers at Christmas time.
Shauna gives my daughter a hands on experience and cares for her fantastically. My daughter is often asking to go to Shauna’s at the weekend. So knowing she is happy and content in this environment makes me know we made the right choice to switch from a nursery to childminding.
Shauna gives frequent updates of meals, toileting, sleeps and picture updates of what my daughter has been up to during the day and gives great advice on toileting and has helped my daughter have the confidence to sit on a big girl toilet.

As a first time Parent, Shauna has allowed me to feel comfortable knowing my baby is in safe and loving hands. I am updated everyday in regards to my Sons day and I constantly feel reassured that he’s happy! I can’t thank Shauna and the family enough for everything they do/continuously do for my Son, I really am thankful for everything. We feel welcome from the second we drop off/pick up. Fantastic days out are planned to ensure the children have the very best opportunities and I am more than happy with the level of care my little boy receives.
