About Me

Hello my name is Katie and I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Gosforth.

I'd describe myself as kind, motivated, reliable and somebody who is always looking to gain further knowledge and skills so that I can provide the highest quality of care for children.

As a parent myself, I understand that choosing the right childcare provider is a difficult decision and one that is of high importance. I strive to ensure a smooth transition for your child in entering the world of childcare, ensuring the needs of your child are fully met and that you as a parent feel comfortable and confident leaving your child in my care. I update parents in real-time using a downloadable app, so that parents can 'check-in' as frequently as desired to see how their child's day is progressing.

I work alongside my Mum, Nicola Gannon, who is an Ofsted childminder of 23 years, from a child-orientated, spacious, welcoming home. Within our home, we have an abundance of resources for all ages and stages of development, so that there will always be something to peak your child's interest and curiosity. We also have a large, enclosed, secure garden full of equipment and toys so that your child can spend time exploring the great outdoors on a daily basis.

Throughout the week, I provide opportunities for a variety of different outings including; playgroups, local parks, soft play, the Baltic, the Laing Art Gallery, Jesmond Dene and many more!
