My Summary

My Experience

My experience mostly comes from babysitting my niece and nephew, I started to babysit my nephew regularly when he was 2 years old (16 hours a week; 2 days a week; 8 hours a day), which included playing together, going to the park or library, cooking for him, changing his nappies/ starting potty training, bath time, and some minimal cleaning and house chores such as cleaning up after lunch, loading the dishwasher, vacuuming. I also occasionally babysat my niece when she was 6, which included playing together, cooking for her, helping her with homework, and some minimal cleaning. I also babysat them simultaneously but for shorter amounts of time (4/5 hours at a time), in this case my responsibilities also included giving them both fair attention, preventing/minimizing conflict, however, with two children I don't feel confident taking them out to public spaces like playgrounds in case I can't keep my attention on them both at all times, and I want to be sure they are always safe.

My Qualifications

I have a level 2 childcare skills qualification and a paediatric first aid course certificate.

My Availability

I'm able to work a maximum of 15 hours per week while being an undergraduate student.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.44 per hour

I expect the minimum wage for my age (£8.60 while I'm 20, and £11.44 from 3rd of December, when I turn 21). If there are any cleaning/household requirements that are more than minimal (vacuuming/ mopping the whole house/flat, doing laundry etc.) then I'd apply an extra pound per hour, same with staying overnight. If there are spills or similar accidents I'll always clean them free of charge of course.
