My Requirements

We are seeking a live out nanny on a part time, sole charge basis to care for a 4 year old girl and a baby girl of 18 months. The successful candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable and an excellent communicator with interest in early years development and education. They should have the ability to nurture and help the baby grow and learn in a safe and secure environment. They should also be able to support our four year old's school work and learning. It is essential that the nanny is able to take responsibility, show initiative and be flexible in nature.

My husband and I both medical doctors and therefore work on a shift pattern. The hours are normally 7am until 7pm three days a week (these are always weekdays and normally Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). A typical day would involve getting both children ready in the morning and then dropping my eldest to school (8.30am - 3.30pm). During this time, we would like the nanny to prepare meals, play with the baby or go on outings. They would need to pick up my eldest from school and then make dinner for both children, help with any homework, play with them and then start bed time. During school holidays, they will be expected to look after both children.

As mentioned, duties will be preparing meals for both children, doing their laundry and putting this away, as well as general tidy up of toys and bedrooms at the end of the day. There is scope for more hours per week due our work pattern plus babysitting. Potential applicants should have a driving licence please and be a confident driver of a manual car. The hourly rate is negotiable. The position is to start as soon as possible (November) and end on Friday 3rd Jan (the nanny will not be expected to work on any bank holidays).
