About Me
Hi my name is Val. I am 24 years old. I was born in London, fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker. I have quite a big family, so I am family orientated and have taken care of/babysat my nephews when they were younger a lot of the time. I am currently babysitting for a family on weekends (2022-PRESENT) and do ocasional ad-hoc babysitting too with other families. I’m really enjoying that. I am a University graduate from University of Roehampton holding an Education Studies degree in September 2022. I am also currently working as a bus supervisor and EYFS assistant in a Private School in Kingston (Rokeby School) as well as running other duties including my playground duties and supporting boys with 1:1 reading in pre-prep where I’ve worked for four years now. I have always had an interest working with children and I consider myself to be warm and nurturing.
My Experience
In January 2020 I worked as a teaching assistant for two terms at Rokeby School as part of my uni course. I helped the key working group in the lower school (reception year). I then applied for the bus supervisor role in the same school and have been working there since. I monitor and maintain behaviour on the bus. I am responsible for the safety and well-being of all the boys that get on. Boys from 4-13 years. I am also break and lunchtime supervisor and support boys with some 1:1 reading in the lower school as well as assisting a year 5 student with his diabetes twice a week. I have also previously babysat within and outside of my family. Playing, reading, baking, taking them out to the park, helping with phonics and most importantly looking after them and making sure they are always safe.
My Qualifications
BA(Hons) Education Studies with Foundation Year.
Paediatric First Aid trained and certified.
Diabetes trained and certified.
My Availability
I am mainly available on weekends but open to evenings and currently searching for a full time (permanent) nanny job. So I’m really hoping I can find the right family.
