About Me

I'm a single in work parent with a 13 year old daughter called Katie who has down syndrome, Katie is a brilliant aunty to her 3 under 5 year old nieces and nephews so is used to being around and helping younger children. She helps with all the cooking, washing and tidying up, she is so funny, sassy and spontaneous life is never dull. The only thing I have to sometimes help with is rinsing her hair at bath time, everything else she is more than capable of doing, she is semi vocal but does understand everything that is said, she uses makaton aswell at school but is fully understandable with her speech.
