About Me
I'm a drama and performing arts teacher part time, and a teaching assistant in a primary school also part time! I love children, especially playing with them (I am a big kid myself!), teaching them important life skills and making them feel confident and comfortable. I enjoy innovative approaches to childcare and teaching, and am very much anti-screentime and technology-dependency. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking and being creative. Aside from my work in schools, I am a freelance musician, artist and poet and I share my love for art and music with people through gigging and performing. I love education and learning new things, connecting with people, understanding new cultures, travelling and experiencing life! I also looooove cooking, and am always whipping up new recipes for my family and having friends around to make them food. I volunteer regularly with foodfight and have experience cooking in a kitchen for more than 50 people! I love looking after people and caring for people as it brings me great joy. My Experience
I am DBS qualified performing arts and drama teacher and SEND assistant teacher with experience looking after children from the age of 2 upwards officially in a preschool and primary school setting. I also work with teenagers and young adults in a workshop setting teaching music and poetry. Aside from teaching, I am also comfortable and have experience in cooking, cleaning and changing nappies!
My Qualifications
BA First Class Honours Degree from the University of Exeter in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies
Certificate in Islamic Approaches to Psychology and Counselling
Enrolled on a MSC with University of Greenwich in Psychology (conversion course) due to start September 2024
