About Me
I have just finished my A-Levels at boarding school and I am now living at home for the summer holidays in Bramley, Guildford. I am very good with dogs and I have a younger brother and cousins that I look after from the age of 6-13. I am a very creative person and great with younger children. I have been part of many team sports and play productions so I never run out of ways to entertain the young ones.
I was pleased to be able to take part in a programme of outreach that partners Cranleigh school with a nearby maintained primary school. The schools work together in partnership with the National Literacy Trust (NLT) on reading engagement, literacy levels and teacher training, and run special days that celebrate literacy and storytelling. Following a morning's training with the NLT, I took part in one of those days, and led a group of Year 3 and 4 pupils through drama games, storytelling, book choice and craft activities related to reading. Literacy levels are the number one factor in social mobility and being involved as an older pupil is really important in inspiring and motivating younger pupils to read.
My Experience
I am very good with dogs and I have a younger brother and cousins that I look after from the age of 6-13. I am a very creative person and great with younger children. As I have been to a boarding school I have done regular house duties looking after the younger years, including bed duty, prep duty and organising socials for them.
