About Me

Hi families, I am a positive, enthusiastic, hard-working 21-year-old, looking for a live-in nanny position that will challenge and inspire me. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and have experience in the UK and abroad including teaching English. I have excellent refences. I have a caring and motherly nature that allows me really connect with the children I work with. I completed my educational journey at University of the West of England (Bristol) this July, with a First-class degree in Photography. I feel it is imperative to teach a child how to express themselves creatively and enjoy learning new things.

My Experience

Whilst attending university I travelled in Asia volunteering and teaching English to children aged 4 to 17 years and supervising and caring for children at a nursery for ages 6 months to 3 years. I organised and planned lessons, engaging in hands-on teaching and classroom management. Using my artistic and creative skills I love to encourage children to express themselves creatively. I really loved my experiences and formed warm relationships with everyone I cared for during that time whilst always ensuring appropriate boundaries were in place.

I have worked as a part-time nanny for a delightful two-year-old boy, covering all his needs day to day. My tasks included: making meals, helping with laundry, cooking, cleaning and
generally anything that was required from me. With art being a passion of mine, I always like to incorporate it into the lives of the children I work with. I feel it is important for children to
have the means to express themselves in different creative outlets in their play and learning.

For another family, I was a mother's help for a woman with two children who was on maternity leave. In this role, I would help in any way I could to take stress off the
mother. Sometimes I would be with the baby so she could spend quality time with her daughter and vice versa. I took the child to nursery and organised activities and play dates, and also prepared meal times and helped with household duties.

I have also worked for a prestigious ballet academy in central London organising and taking care of the children attending their summer camps and intensives of all ages from around the world, managing and caring for large groups of children in all the various age groups as well as mentoring individuals forming good relationships with children and their parents. This was a great early experience that encouraged me to want to go into childcare.

Growing up in a close-knit extended family I have helped numerous younger relatives with homework and studying for exams. During my varied experience working with children I have gained numerous skills both particular to the needs of children but also housekeeping duties and learning to be flexible around family needs and routines.

Sienna has worked for my family for some years now although she is now located in Bristol - unfortunately for us. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is wonderful with children - ours love her and ask after her all the time. Sienna is incredibly creative in both play and homework activities. Her artistic nature is evident on everything she does although she is brilliant at following family rules. The children respect her and enjoy the time she has been with them. She is also very helpful, not waiting to be asked to offer a hand with anything in the household. She actually had our children offering to do chores! She is reliable and completely trustworthy.
