About Me
Hi my name is Charm, and I've been working with children for the past 10 years. I started my childcare journey at home as my mum has been a childminder for many years which helped me gain experience with looking after children ages newborn to 4 years. I decided to broaden my experience and make a change by becoming a nursery practitioner at a private nursery. During my time as a practitioner, I was based in a baby room taking care of babies ages, 0-2 years as this was the ages I was used to and more experienced in but I have worked with ages up to 5 years. For the past 2 year’s , I have been working as a full-time nanny for a little girl I had since she was 2 weeks old but is now going to nursery so I am looking for a new nanny job. I find working with babies and children to be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. It's a passion of mine and something I enjoy. ( reference from my previous family available)
My Experience
As a nanny, I was responsible for making nutritious meals for the children. Engaged the child in learning games and also took them to daily activities to interact with other children, and planned fun days out. Also, I had to do some light housework which included emptying the dishwasher, children’s laundry and cleaning children’s bedroom.
My sole responsibilities as nanny included :
•Helping with child’s routine
•Organising activities ( age related)
•Play groups, musical class and play dates
• Bathing and preparing for bed
• Preparing baby bottles and changing nappies
•Healthy snacks
• Children laundry/ bedroom
•Appointments
•Learning and reading
My Qualifications
My qualifications include Paediatric First Aid and an enhanced disclosure check from the Disclosure and Barring Service that is updated annually. A significant amount of experience and training. I also completed half a year of the early years foundation stage curriculum (EYFS) (Level 3) but had to leave college due to family reasons.
