About Me
Hi, my name is Aakifah, Im 22years old and work as a SEN teaching assistant Monday to Friday. I've got 7 siblings and enjoy working with children, I've been in the childcare/education sector for 4years but helped my mum raise my siblings as im the eldest. I have a lot of experience with SEN children due to siblings being on the spectrum. I am happy to take up any opportunities that may come my way. I live with my partner and 2 cats which I adore. I enjoy sports specifically basketball but I am open to any sports and I enjoy the odd video game whilst also reading a good book.
My Experience
- rugby coach: I was working as a lil tots coach every weekend for a year alongside studying at school
- sports coach: I had worked with premier education and was teaching and leading breakfast/after school clubs and pe lessons (1year)
- sen assistant: I had worked in a mainstream school for 2 years in London with 5 SEN children who struggled with many needs i.e: autism, verbal and non verbal communication, adhd, echolalia
- basketball coach: I was part of the team but also coached and helped the lower years and younger age ranges to partake and enjoy their basketball experience whilst making it enjoyable with games and fun activities
- personal SEN experience as my brothers are on the spectrum and have high needs, I have had to grow and learn to understand how their incredible minds work and how I can do my best to help and support them
My Qualifications
I am qualified in first aid and paediatric first aid, I also have an enhanced DBS as well as my safeguarding certificates.
I have completed all gcses and a btec a college level.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday in a specialist school until 3.30pm
im available anytime after 3.30pm mon-friday
on the weekends im available anytime

My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
£20 an hour with an additional £5 for travel costs but happy to discuss this for families who struggle as I understand this may be a struggle and not for everyone
