I'm an artist in my free time and love incorporating crafts in my work; I love encouraging children to create, whether painting or clay-making, and believe it's a great tool for self-expression and confidence building.
I really value the connections I've built with the children I have looked after and the support & comfort I've been able to provide them and their parents. If your child is the creative type, or you'd like to give them a chance to experiment creatively, I'd be the perfect match. Other than that, I love exploring other hobbies children have, whether it’s football or building with blocks!
My Experience
I have been working in childcare since I turned 16. Most notably, for two years, I worked as an assistant childminder at Mishy's Childminding, where I looked after children of a variety of ages (1-9) in groups of up to 6 children. I spent the most recent months babysitting consistently back in my hometown, and now have moved to Derby, hoping to continue!
For years I have also babysat my nephews & nieces whenever needed, and have enjoyed watching them grow from babies to children in school!
I'm very used to the routines and keeping children entertained for the entire day, whether it be one-on-one or in groups.
My Qualifications
I achieved a QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) which is valid until 12/07/2025.

Percy helped look after my 6 & 9year old boys she was brilliant ,played games with them and kept them occupied throughout the hours she was with them .
Both the boys loved her and took a liking to her straight away .

thank you zoe!! i absolutely loved looking after your boys these past few months and wish both you and them the absolute best.
Percy looked after my two energetic boys (4 years-old and 20 months-old). We were very impressed and would definitely use her in future. She was very punctual and my boys settled really well with her. She engaged with them in the activities that they liked to do and kept them busy with colouring, playing trains and playing in the garden. She followed their routine and the instructions I left regarding their care e.g. toilet training.
