About Me
My background in education as a Learning Support Assistant, means I am
experienced in disclosures, safeguarding and equality legislative requirements. I have extensive experience in working with Children with Special Educational Needs delivering EHCPS using individualised strategies. I have used my initiative as a Learning Support Assistant to help students achieve their best outcomes. As a practising artist, I am always keen to take a creative approach to learning and supporting young people in their journeys.
My Experience
Supporting learners with their learning, ensured this was delivered as outlined in the Educational Health Care Plans. Writing personalised learner plans in line with their EHC plans. Tracking student`s progress and completing administrative tasks for Annual Reviews.
Reporting of safeguarding issues providing one to one support for students with disabilities, advising on financial issues and personal development effectively and efficiently allaying students to ensure all their concerns were successfully addressed.
Supporting learners with written work; writing dissertations, personal statements, project proposals. I take a personalised approach to understand what way I can support students and use strategies that help them gain confidence in their abilities and talents. I am interested in art therapy and I am currently running intuitive painting workshops for young people.
My Qualifications
I am Fine Art, Painting graduate. I have been working with young people with special educational needs for the past 3 years. I obtained certificates in safeguarding, neurodiversity, ADHD, Autism and Diversity and Inclusivity as well as trauma informed approach to support young people. I have been preparing students for GCSEs and Level 2 Music Production, Games development and Media.
