About Me
I focus on all parts of child development and create fun and interesting environments that help your children learn and grow. My philosophy is that learning happens best through play, so I encourage children to explore and discover the world around them. I know many great places, groups and activities that can provide your child with enriching experiences. As an active nanny, I promote social interaction and cultural experiences, which help improve children’s social skills through time spent with other children and adults.
I have a firm approach to setting boundaries, but I balance this with my warm northern personality. This helps support both the emotional and physical needs of children as they face the challenges of growing up.
My Experience
With 20+ years of experience working with children in both early years settings and as a nanny. I am reliable, trustworthy and excellent at communicating. Families I have worked with will often say that I bring them relief and help them manage their busy lives. Many have chosen the stay with me for years - my last family lasting 6 years; I am still in contact with them and visit their new home in Oxford where I occasionally look after their children -, which shows the quality of my care.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are NVQ3, NAMCW basic and part 1, home management and family care.
My Availability
I am happy and available to start as soon as you require. I can provide some flexibility with hours and days. As well as this, I offer babysitting at an additional cost, including the occasional overnight stay.

Sharon is a hard working, punctual and calm nanny. She worked for us for many years and took care of my twin daughters and son. She doesn’t need guidance and has a natural ability to keep kids calm whilst also being fun and engaging. I highly recommend Sharon.
