My Requirements

Hi,

I am looking for a tutor for my 5 year old Son Logan. He is currently at West Green Primary School Crawley Reception class.
Logan has been assessed for speech and language delay, which has been confirmed by School/SENS co-ordinator.
We have been told that he is very behind to where he should be and this gap will only get bigger once he is in year 1 and progresses further into the years.

We have been advised to go to GP for a referral for assessment of learning disability. The teachers (and myself) are not perusing Autism at the moment as the signs do not point to this but this may change. We feel that early intervention would be beneficially to close this gap, while we are waiting for diagnosis.

Things about Logan:

Happy Child
Good behavior child ie no sign of violence to others (He does however sometimes lash out to myself as mum)
His actual speech is clear (lots of parrating/copying)
Knows the alphabet and phonics/numbers/colours/shapes
Good memory
Good ear for music (able to sing rhymes clearly and remembers them)
What he struggles with is :
Concentration
Forming sentences (2 way conversation is difficult)
Needs bite size information/instructions
Unable to Verbalise his feelings or explain what has happens
We were hoping to match him up to a tutor who can spend this one to one time/work with him and also ourselves so that we can have clear goals/pathways and objectives to help our son move forward in a positive way.
