About Me
I am 18 years old and live in Acomb, I have an enhanced DBS and previous experience with SEN children and as a home carer. I have recently received my qualification for an extended diploma in Level 3 Health and Social Care, and will begin university in September to study a 3 year degree in Adult Nursing. I currently have a part time job at a well known nursery retailer and hold knowledge on essential products for the care of infants and toddlers. I own a car and have a full UK driving license meaning I am able to travel as necessary.
My Experience
I have worked closely together with special educational needs children ranging from the ages of 11-16. This involved a position as a TA supporting students with their numeracy and literacy, reading and writing and life skills lessons such as food technology and physical education to prepare them for life after school. I also worked as a home care assistant for vulnerable adults and have received training in areas such as medication administration and moving and handling. This role required a lot of attention to detail and assistance with meal preparation, personal care and domestic household tasks. I am a confident communicator and can handle difficult situations easily.
