About Me
I'm an 18 year old student and I have just completed my A-Levels. I'm going to be working all summer and also plan to carry on alongside my university studies. I'm a patient and caring individual, who puts maximum effort and consideration into all tasks given. I'm quite a creative person and the time I've spent looking after children outside of school is always full of fun activities. In the future I plan on becoming a Primary School Teacher, this is something I've been passionate about for a long time now and I'm close to starting that process of becoming fully qualified. When I've spent time in classes, just watching the way the teacher held the students' attention or got them all excited to learn made me eager to do that myself.
My Experience
I've spent some time looking after a 3 year old boy in the past year & also sometimes a 6 year old girl. I also have some experience taking care of children with additional physical and learning needs. They were in the age range of 8-14 and I'd look after them for a few hours during the day & sometimes evenings. I also did work experience in a local Primary School, and I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go with a Year 2 class on a school trip. This was one experience that taught me all about being prepared for every situation possible whilst taking care of the children. I know how to effectively handle unexpected challenges whilst still ensuring that children are able to enjoy themselves. I spent time at another primary school on a weekly basis as part of my sixth form's enrichment course. I had been supporting individual children with their reading. They would read books aloud to me and I would aid with pronunciation.
