About Me

I am a newly Ofsted registered childminder. I have worked with children and their families for over 10 years.

I started working for the NHS in 2014 on a children’s ward which is where I began my career working with children and their families. I knew I wanted to begin my career in childcare and from there I moved onto working as a childminding assistant where I had experience with children age ranged between 9 months to 12 years.

I began my studies while I was a childminding assistant and completed my Level 3 Diploma as an Early Years Educator. I then progressed as a teaching assistant within a local primary school and continued to study through Cumbria University alongside my job.

Through the 5 years I worked as a teaching assistant I worked within Early Years. Primarily my time was in the 2 year old provision working closely with 2-3 year olds. I also spent time in Nursery with 3-4 year olds and Reception 4-5 year olds.

In 2023 is the year I graduated from Cumbria University with an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in working with Children and their families.

I live in Ashington with my partner and two children. We love spending time on outings and being outdoors in local parks and beaches.

I have a large playroom designed to enhance children’s learning through play. I provide play opportunities which support children in all 7 areas of learning and development.

It is important for children to build a foundation to thrive and ignite children’s curiosity and enthusiasm.

I live close to Bothal Primary School and will be offering drop offs and picks ups to this school.
