About Me
We are a small family of three looking for skilled nanny for our son Julian.
Julian is a lovely boy who is turning 5 in September. He is at a wonderful school, Blossom House - Motspur park, for his final year of nursery. The nursery has relatively short hours, 9 to 12, and we are looking for a nanny to support after school and during school holidays.
Julian is a kind, gentle and active boy. He is a pleasure to be around. He does have some special needs. Julian is Autistic, his primary challenge is speech and language where he struggles to communicate his wants and needs.
We live in our family home next to Cannon Hill Common. This is a 5 min drive from his school. We both follow hybrid working patterns so at home 2/3 days a week. We have offices upstairs leaving the ground floor and large garden open all day. We are members at Wisley Gardens, Hobbledown and National trust which Julian loves to visit and great to visit in school holidays.
My Requirements
Our nanny very unfortunately has just left at very short notice, she had to leave London and commuting was not practical. We are super sad as she was great.
From a pure practical perspective we are looking for the below. We are keen to build long standing relationships so more than happy to meet and discuss options.
School Terms (2025): Monday to Thursday: 12:15pm to 5:30pm.
School Holidays: Monday to Thursday: 9:00am to 5:30pm.
We expect Julian school term routine to broadly involve school pick up, lunch at home, down time, afternoon activity (playgrounds, parks, active play, etc.). He really loves going out so an afternoon excursions is key.
Other requirements include:
A drivers licence is required.
Some experience / looking to gain specific experience working with children with special needs.
Ability to manage a structured routine.
Support in teaching day to day activities - dressing, eating, functional play, etc
Ability to read cues, interpret needs and adapt a day when needed.
Support in integrating Speech and Language therapy into daily routines.
