About Me
My name is Polly I’m a qualified early years teacher living in St Werburghs. I currently work at Windmill Hill City farm nursery part time. I’m an artist in my spare time (painting and mosiacs) and love sharing arts and creative activities with children. I also believe in the importance of outdoor play and learning and love being in nature myself, wild swimming and walking. I love animals and happy to look after pets alongside your child if you have them too!
My Experience
I’m a qualified early years teacher- this means I have a in depth knowledge of early years foundation stage and development in the early years. From physical development to communication and language development and personal, social and emotional development. I’m passionate about nurturing children’s well-being. I have a qualification in low intensity CBT and bring this previous mental health experience into my work with children. I have worked in my current nursery for 2 years and have worked in infant and primary schools as a teaching assistant and been a play worker.
My Qualifications
Early years teacher status. Deep understanding of early years foundation stage and child development. Understanding of how to enrich children’s learning and providing a nurturing and loving learning /caring environment for children. I have experience teaching phonics in reception and preschool, along with mathematics.
My Availability
I’m available Mondays and Tuesdays for childcare. I would be able to do the occasional babysitting in evenings and weekends depending on availability.
