About Me
I am an avid history enthusiast, visiting museums and exhibitions. In more recent years I have become more interested in prehistory, and have enjoyed adventuring and photographing sacred ancient sites across the UK.
I love to hike and explore the local countryside and woodland, and from that, over the last couple of years I have been enjoying learning more about botany and mycology.
I am a very creative person, and for a time I worked as a portraiture artist. I currently enjoy sewing and gardening. And in my latest position as a nanny, I loved to create craft projects inspired by the children's interests. We made all sorts, from pirate ships, to viking long houses, to science experiments, our favourite being the Da Vinci bridge.
My Experience
Having worked for the same family for 10 years, my role has changed a few times over the course of my employment. Starting as a housekeeper, then nanny, and then nanny/housekeeper when the children started school. Throughout, I was happy to adapt and accommodate to the changing needs of the family, which included house/cat sitting, and travelling with them on holiday.
As a nanny, my duties have included one on one play, being out in nature with the children, making meals, attending toddler groups, creating fun arts and crafts projects, helping with homework, bath and bedtime routines.
The housekeeping side of my duties have included, laundry, cleaning, tidying, gardening, cooking, running errands, and taking care of pets.
Due to unfortunate circumstances the position has come to an end. I've absolutely loved being a nanny/housekeeper. Being given the opportunity to witness two beautiful children grow and see their little personalities develop has been a gift. Although I am going to miss them terribly, I am ready for my next chapter and now searching for a new posting as a nanny or nanny/housekeeper with another wonderful family.
Whilst I search for a suitable position, I am currently working on multiple childcare courses to bolster my 7 years nannying experience. This will include child development and behaviour, anxiety in early years, child nutrition, and NCFE cache level 3 (Home Based Childcare).
My Qualifications
10 GCSEs, 3 A/S levels, and 2 A levels, including Art, and History.
As mentioned in the description of my experience as a nanny, I am currently undertaking numerous childcare courses to enhance my knowledge and understanding.
My Availability
I like to be as accommodating as possible, and happy to work overtime if needed. Ideally looking for part-time work at the moment, but happy to work full-time if a family requires it.
