My Experience
I have two years of hands-on experience caring for my toddler niece, whom I have helped look after since she was a baby. This includes tasks like changing nappies, preparing meals, and ensuring her safety and well-being. My time working as a kitchen assistant in a nursery taught me the importance of preparing food correctly for children and being attentive to allergies and dietary needs.
Through my work in the charity sector, I have developed strong skills in engaging with children and young people. At a youth centre in Berkshire and other youth organisations, I supported children aged 8–16 by listening to their needs, helping them express themselves, and creating safe spaces where they felt comfortable and valued.
